Welcome to my website

Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Vanessa Roberts and I am a native Houstonian and graduate of Sam Houston State University. I completed my bachelors of science in Criminal Justice in 2018 and worked in the criminal justice field for 3 years. Shortly before completion of my degree program, I began working as a Corrections Officer at the Estelle Unit in Huntsville Texas. Upon graduation I relocated back to Houston and worked for Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department as an Adult Supervision Officer for another 2 ½ years. In December of 2020, I transitioned into the Financial Services Industry. In addition to being a licensed MLO, I currently serve as an Office Manager at my family's State Farm Agency. I also own and operate a notary and income tax preparation business.

I have always had a passion for community and helping others. Financial literacy education is where I have chosen to marry those passions. As a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, I have enjoyed hosting our chapters annual financial literacy program. This program is free and opened to the residents of our community. It is my firm belief that proper financial literacy education improves the quality of life for those who have it and helps families leave legacies for generations. Part of that legacy includes continuing to help others achieve their goals of home ownership.

In my spare time I enjoy going to various restaurants in and around the Houston Area, enjoying an event or festival around the city, spending the day at Hermann Park with my dogs Sophie and Aasim, and quality time with family and friends.
